My son loves salt dough modelling, so we decided to recreate some of the see creatures out of saltdough (check out our favourite “coloured saltdough recipe” over on Red Ted Art). Saltdough is wonderfully versatile you can make all sorts of things from it .   Salt dough is not edible, but it’s made from edible ingredients and will not hurt your child if ingested. It doesn’t taste very good, so chances are it won’t make it past the taste buds anyway! ;-) All you do is mix together 1/4 cup salt, 1/2 cup flour, and 1/4 cup water to form a dough.   This is a fun craft for younger kids. Salt dough is very easy to make, uses simple ingredients you have in your kitchen, and with the help of cookie cutters, kids can make just about anything they want. I used alphabet cookie cutters to make these cute ABC magnets. They make a fun teacher’s gift Go To project.
